Way Out Life
Live the Way Out Life. Find joy in the mundane and weirdness in the norm.
My name is Daniel Noe and I live the Way Out Life. I explore the world with an eye for fun, humor, and insight. I visit parks. I learn about culture and science. I photograph creatures and landscapes from my travels. I draw creatures and landscapes from my mind. I write books. For several years, I worked two jobs and was depressed. Life seemed to only go in circles. I dreamed of quitting and writing novels. Then I was suddenly fired for no good reason. Lucky me! I was able to go hiking, visit art museums, and develop my own art. After struggling to put my life together for a while, I moved in with my widowed grandfather to do the household chores he could no longer do. He eventually passed. Then in 2021, I thought it was as good a time as any to start an art store.
What is the purpose of this website? What is the purpose of even being alive? What is my purpose? What is your purpose? All is vanity. Nothing lasts forever. Nearly everything I have tried to do has turned to dust in my hands. All my business projects fail – either because I run out of ideas troubleshooting problems, I get distracted by too many ideas to do simultaneously, I get tired and lazy, or even when I know I do everything right, the market simply doesn’t cooperate. Every job fails me eventually – firing me on false pretenses or mistreating me so badly I have no choice but to quit – and that’s when I can get hired in the first place. Friends also drift away and find other friends. Dates are impossible to find in the first place. Political activism is proven completely ineffective on closed minds – and every mind I meet is closed. Several years ago I had given up completely, but then I found the secret to life’s purpose. When all of life’s distractions had faded away I found there was only one thing left. When serving the will of the creator is put first, all lesser goals fall into their proper places.

What does it mean in practical terms to put first the kingdom of God? First, it means doing the right thing when you know what the right thing is. When nothing else in the world matters, there is no reason not to obey your conscience. Second, it means to seek the truth no matter where it leads. Third, it means realizing your own unimportance. Heroism makes for a great vacation but is a terrible job. The fate of the world doesn’t hang on your every action. That’s God’s responsibility. True worship is not worrying. True worship is making every effort to enjoy life, appreciating whatever good you have already been given. God does not need your worship; you need to worship. Worship can mean exploring nature, learning science, playing a game, praying, or showing kindness to others, passing on the blessings you have received. It can mean anything that isn’t sin. It can be volunteering to help the homeless, but it can also mean getting a job, helping your employer and helping customers. Paying you for your kindness to them merely gives them a chance to be kind too. It can mean contributing to society by creating art or writing a book. It can also mean being a friend, a spouse, or a parent. Making just one person’s life a little more pleasant is still valuable. Even if you serve only yourself, you are still someone worth serving. True worship isn’t so much about what you do as it is your attitude.
Live the Way Out Life! Find joy in the mundane and weirdness in the norm. Don’t be a follower. Don’t let media control you. Get out and explore. Visit parks. Experiment. Try new things. Go to new restaurants. Play with your food and invent something new. Go to an art museum. Make your own art. Doodle. Spread joy, creativity, and fun. Make a mission out of it. Make an adventure out of it. Make a story out of it. Don’t stay in a rut – and if you do stay in a rut, at least take some time to count the pebbles you see and take note of their colors while you are down there.
Sometimes I watch the sunset. Sometimes I take long walks in the forest. Sometimes I draw aliens. I write science fiction adventures. I write philosophical musings. I write poetry. I attempt to uplift moods, open minds, educate, and inspire others to greatness. If you’d like to be a part of my work and help spread this message, you can help me by buying my shirts and mugs, buying my books, or subscribing to my SubStack newsletter.
